CLYCLING HOLIDAY IN ITALY, MARCHE
This excursion, led by a qualified guide, takes us around the impressive Sibilla Mountain that gives its name to this range of mountains. It winds on small roads and old mule tracks through some of the most interesting mountain hamlets of Amandola, between old ruins and perfectly restored rustic buildings, in keeping with the charm and beauty typical of these mountain communities. Travelling through beautiful terrain and through communities that have remain unchanged for centuries, you’ll be able to enjoy stunning views and a variety of shrubs and trees which include broom, dog rose, juniper, oak, chestnut and wild cherry. On a good day it’s possible to see wildlife such as wild boar, badger, roe deer, hare, squirrel, eagles and peregrine falcons. The route is not particularly challenging, but, as the terrain is ever-changing and winding, it demands a good knowledge of your mountain bike. We recommend that utmost care be taken during the descents and riders must remember to wear a helmet at all times After the excursion the marcheholiday association have selected a little family-run bakery in the area, where the boss Emanuele will guide us through a tasting of the best typical foods of the territory like: ham, salami, wild grasses, wine, bread and sweets. Everything is rigorously organic. All All of our guides have the regular medium mountain courier’s licence issued by the National Park of Sibillini Mountains.
